#stayhome
This is the first guitar that I made during the #stayhome. When I began, I was thinking that we would be home for one month. Half-way into that, it became two months, and so on and so forth. Every time we had an idea for a plan it would be out the window as specialists learned more.
I found myself drifting into a work schedule and taking my time to design. craft and finish each component. Toward the end of a month working on Unum, I found myself missing the project even though it was not completely finished yet, in the same way, that you feel on the last day of vacation before you pack your bags to go home.
I started 11 more projects during #stayhome. Eight of them are pretty good. Two are incomplete. One is on the bench at this point in time for renovations after a few test runs on my commute to Union Square and back. I had 59 others that I've built over the years on the walls of my studio on 7th Ave. before we lost our lease. None of them scores higher on my lists of what is important for the ultimate amp-guitar compared to Unum.
Looks good. Sounds great. The amp has lots of sound-shaping functions and it doubles as a Bluetooth speaker. The guitar is Unique and functions well. It's reliable and stands on its own when not being played.
The color scheme is inspired by the guitar that Buck Owens used for the jamboree sessions they had on the Hee Haw show in the 1970s but I'm thinking of it a different way here.
We Are the People.
Everyone.
We will get through this better if we work together.
