When I was laying this out initially, I did not appreciate how good the Blackstar (and others) sounds when it is inside its ported cabinet.

I was ready to start fastening the bouts to the beam, but these work sessions at the time were probably only an hour or so. Then, I go off to work and play guitar during the commute. I was playing with TwoHeads when I decided to incorporate the amp cabinet into a hollow-body design.

    Maple
    25.5" scale Jazzmaster® type bolt-neck design. I scored it on eBay.
  • Beam

    French Oak
    Aged wine barrel stave.
  • Body

    Spruce, Maple
    15" viola Solid wood, carved tone plate, and backplate.
  • Bridge

    Gibson®
    I made a floating bridge out of a Tune-o-matic®
  • Pickups

    Single coil
    Jazzmaster®
  • Amplifier

    Blackstar®
    3W mini combo with emulated tape delay, one 3″ speaker.
