I wanted to have the speaker behind the strings.
There are many ways to create a subway guitar. Here's one of them.
For this rendition, I chose a nice set of stair tread pieces to hold it all together. The wood is very light and has vertical grain to it.
The neck was obtained on eBay and somehow made it out of the factory without ever being built.
I like the way it stands there like a guard dog.
